VOR Trainer
Drag the aircraft around on the chart and watch the mouse pointer. The aircraft travels clockwise around the chart.
When the mouse pointer is below the aircraft in the same heading, pitch down, hold the left mouse button and release the aircraft. The aircraft will descend.
Holding the right mouse button will cause the aircraft to ascend.
Holding down both mouse buttons at the same time will cause the aircraft to climb.
Whenever you select one of the buttons, the pitch of the aircraft will be locked to that.
Note: This simulator is a very old version that still used the old MGL-65 internal UART. This required patching by users that could not afford licenses for this software.
The VOR Trainer Pro is a light version of this simulator.
This is a very old version of the VOR trainer and uses the old MGL-65 internal UART without patching.
Click on the aircraft to watch. You can choose your heading in the slider bar to the left of the heading dial. You can also change the altitude in the slider bar at the bottom of the chart.

What’s New In VOR Trainer?
VOR Trainer is a Java applet that shows you the VOR CDI and TO/FROM indicator in the wind. It also shows a realistic representation of the VOR station on a top-down map. You can also move the airplane or the scale on the map. The position of the OBS and its grid reference is saved.
Differentiate the aircraft from around it, find the VOR station on the map, and follow the OBS at the VOR!
The VOR is a unique aid to navigation, and VOR Trainer is a nice and easy way to make it more useful.
Find the VOR on the chart in the VOR Trainer window.
Click on the screen to move the airplane around.
The OBS is highlighted when the airplane is over the VOR.
Click on the chart to move the airplane along the OBS.
Check the TO/FROM indicator on the chart and the VOR Trainer map.
