Getting acquainted with layers
As I explain in the upcoming sections, the process of editing your images consists of adjusting your layers to bring out and enhance the colours, light, and textures of your subject matter and then applying special effects and filters that you add to your image as you work. This editing process is made even easier by the fact that a single image usually has many layers stacked on top of one another, one on top of the other.
As you adjust the layers of your image, they appear in a stack as layers and are arranged from top to bottom. If an adjustment was applied to a layer that was under another layer, a trail of half-transparent circles appears to show the adjustment that was applied to the layer above. (I cover details about adjusting your layers in the later section «Adjusting the layers.») Figure

How to Edit Images in Photoshop
In order to edit images in Photoshop, you will need to know your way around.
1. Select, Cut & Copy
The Select & Cut tool is one of the most important tools in Photoshop. The tool can be found in the Tools palette. Select the tool, then click on the image you wish to cut out. Cut the image out by pressing ‘Ctrl/Cmd + X’. You can also drag the selection box around the image.
Go to Edit > Copy to copy a selection or the selection box around the image you want to copy.
Go to Edit > Paste (or Edit > Paste in Windows) to paste the image where you want it to appear.
2. Erase Using the Eraser Tool
You may want to erase some selected or copied parts from the image. You can use the Eraser tool to select the area you wish to remove or erase. Once you are happy with your selection, press ‘Ctrl/Cmd + D’ to confirm the selection and then press ‘Delete’ to remove the selection or image.
You can also use the Eraser tool with the Move tool. Click on the tool to select it, and then move the selected area.
3. Zoom in & Out
You can navigate zoom with the Zoom tool. Click on the tool, then move your mouse on the canvas.

J2ME – The phone is no longer connected to the server
I’m trying to make a very simple mobile game.
I want that when I’m in the game, and click on a button, the phone sends data to the server, this data is then saved into the phone memory.
I have the server and the client and I can see the data that I send.
But after the game is over, and I close the application (there’s an option to do so in the emulator) then when I launch the application again, I get an exception on the server, here’s the stack trace:
java.rmi.ConnectException: Connection refused to host: localhost; nested exception is:
java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused
I understand that the phone is no longer connected to the server, so what should I do?
You are expecting that the server will keep a connection to the client and process inbound messages from the client. This won’t work in a mobile device due to the disconnections that are part of the mobile network model.
The first thing you need to do is to make sure your client is «self-sufficient» in order to have it process the new messages in the background. It should in turn keep the connection open to the server so that it can detect when the game is over and notify the server. The client should wait for a heartbeat from the server before it detects a new game.
I actually implemented a client/server app as a test in the context of a game. It can be found here:

What’s New in the Photoshop CC 2015 Version 18?
Evidence that similar reactive species are involved in the nephrotoxicity induced by acrylamide and glucose.
Glucose oxidase treatment of rats followed by feeding acrylamide has previously been shown to produce proteinuria, casts in the urine and, in animals followed for up to 22 days, renal damage. Glucose oxidase inactivated with selenium or catalase removed the toxicity, while glucose oxidase inactivated with EDTA potentiated the renal injury. Pretreatment with the radical scavengers dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) or dibutyl sulfide (DB) prevented the renal damage. In a histological study, a tubular epithelial necrosis and detachment of tubular epithelium was seen together with cellular swelling and vacuolization. The tubular damage was preceded by a faint brush border loss and brush border denudation of proximal tubule segments. In ultrastructural studies of proximal tubule cells, a collapsed apical brush border, and swelling of the rough endoplasmic reticulum, mitochondria and Golgi complex were observed.#ifndef _LINUX_ERR_H
