Wake On Lan from MacBook
I’m currently working on a Mac/Windows 7 dual boot using Snow Leopard.
I installed OS X on a separate SSD and Windows 7 on the old, larger HDD. I’d like to add a «wake on lan» feature to my Windows 7 machine.
I’ve already checked the «wake on lan» option in the Power Management option within Windows but there’s no light on my power brick. I’m assuming it’s either a Mac thing or it isn’t working. I do have a docking station that has a light but I’ve tried turning it on and the same thing happens.
Is there a way to do this or do I need to buy a wireless router?
Mac’s don’t really have WOL, in the same way that Windows computers don’t really have WOL. (The Mac equivalent is «reboot from internet», which some Mac laptops offer). You might be able to do this from a Windows machine, using an ethernet cable (the «serially connected PCs» option in the windows network options should be for this kind of thing).
How can I build a continuous process?
I use Flask-OpenID, middleware are my base class. And I need a self-switch process as following:
1. Login a user
2. Get and validate user record through database in I have model methods
3. Get user information: sex, age, marital, work type, address, etc.
